To become a member of the UT Cybersecurity Club, please fill out our application.
A minimum major GPA of 2.5 is required and you must be a student registered in the Cybersecurity Bachelor’s program, Master’s program, or have taken/are currently enrolled in one advanced level Cybersecurity course (300 level and above). If these requirements are not met, you may submit a letter of recommendation from a professor in the Cybersecurity department in lieu of these requirements.
Freshmen or sophomores who have not taken advanced-level Cybersecurity courses can apply for membership and will have the course requirement waived, although you may not be able to attend certain technical events.
Typically, a membership fee of $8 per semester applies and will be strictly enforced. Your dues help us pay for various things including our website, membership management suite, and equipment for technical events. However, due to the financial strain that COVID-19 has placed on many, we are waiving the dues requirement for the Fall 2021 semester. We will re-evaluate dues for the Spring 2021 semester.
